Pedro Acosta w drugiej piątkowej sesji treningowej Moto2 uzyskał najlepszy czas dnia. W porannej sesji najszybszy był natomiast Jake Dixon, mimo że zaliczył upadek w zakręcie #5. Rano zawodników przywitały lekkie opady deszczu, które potem ustały.
