Fermin Aldeguer wykręcił najlepszy czas okrążenia w obu piątkowych treningach kategorii Moto2, przed GP Australii. Hiszpan kontynuuje dobrą formę motocykli Boscoscuro na tym obiekcie, bowiem rok temu z ogromną przewagą wygrał jego kolega z zespołu – Alonso Lopez. Drugi czas dnia należał do Arona Canet, a trzeci był lider klasyfikacji Moto2 – Pedro Acosta. W przeciwieństwie do MotoGP wyścig Moto2 odbędzie się według planu, w niedzielę.
