W drugim piątkowym treningu MotoGP przed GP Andaluzji na czele niespodziewanie znalazł się Takaaki Nakagami, a drugi najlepszy czas uzyskał Johann Zarco. Zawodnicy nie skupiali się jednak w tej sesji na najszybszych okrążeniach. Poranne czasy z FP1 były zdecydowanie lepsze.
